Bethany Lutheran Church is located on the East Side of Detroit. BLC is celebrating 135 years of serving our Savior Jesus Christ and the city of Detroit. We believe that all people have been made in the image of God and that God desires everyone to know and experience the love unconditional love which he offers to every individual. Our chief belief is centered in the bible verse Ephesians 2: 8- 9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not of works, so that no one may boast.”
BLC is a multiethnic and multigenerational ministry which possesses a kingdom mindset and desires to intentionally impact people’s lives spiritually, relationally, mentally and financially. At Bethany we believe that faith in Jesus Christ should frame one’s view of life and empower one to move forward in life. At BLC our mantra is, “We are kingdom people, with a kingdom purpose, prepared for kingdom assignment.”
