Bethany Sewing Center
BLC provides a 10 week sewing class weekly for 3 hours. The objective is to provide skill training on sewing machines which will enable individuals to use these skills for a hobby, employment or a career. This outreach is provided in conjunction with Wayne Country Community College.

English as Second Language (ESL)
BLC provides ESL classes one day a week on site for 90 minutes. Our goal is to support our international neighbors as they adjust to American culture. If you are bilingual and would like to be part of our team as we demonstrate unconditional love and hospitality please contact us. The curriculum and onboard training are quite simple and no previous experience is required.

Hope Care Beyond
BLC partners with a ministry Hope Care and Beyond which assists Detroiters and Metro Detroiters to manage and overcome barriers to finding and retaining employment. They offer support services, resources, and connection to work opportunities for those facing challenges with building stable and steady income. Connect with them to learn if you are eligible.

Kingdom Entrepreneurs
Coming Soon! BLC will provide entrepreneurial events dedicated to developing entrepreneurs to build a strong and sustainable business. Sessions will be offered on a monthly basis. Each session is a stand alone session which means the participant is not required to have attended a previous session. These sessions are both informative and hands on designed to help the participant to acquire a technical skills that will make their business competitive and viable. Our objective is to empower the participant to be blessed and to be a blessing in the community with their business. Sessions include but are not limited to: financial literacy, building a budget, developing a spreadsheet, pricing your product.

Shark Tank Competition
Are you a budding entrepreneur? Have you moved your hobby to a business idea? BLC hosts 2 shark tank competitions a year: 1 in the Fall, 1 in the Spring. The participant is given the opportunity to compete for a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place prize by pitching their business idea before a panel of judges. Scoring is based on clarity of the idea, the goal of the business, the sustainability of the business, and how it serves the community. BLC believes God has given us the ability to produce wealth and that riches and wealth are in our houses.
